Glad to see you back to explain everything, though after scaring us with those denial-of-service shenanigans of yours, I'm still considering continuing development on the new Warzone 2100 wiki to serve as backup in case another event like that happens again.

I should probably stop hijacking this thread and talk more about Wikizone 2100 in another thread.

What could possibly be in WZ that requires written permission?

BTW glad to see you are back :) was getting a bit lonely around here w/o you

Yes, I imagine the forums were able to take a much needed break while I was away :)

Apparently there's an issue with iTunes store license (despite game being free and code available under GPL) that some past developer could take exception to it and contact Apple stating copyright infringement and thus they'd pull the game from iTunes store.

Anyway, I'm going to start a new topic to set out my ideas for a WZ magazine, and how it might be used to fund some elements of coding for both WZ and the wz2100.net website, or anything else that could help the project.

Then how did Battle for Wesnoth make it in the app store I wonder. Pretty much the same concept. Unless the item in question was labeled non-commercial.. then I can see why the problem.

Apparently they got written permission from all contributors. I have yet to work out how to achieve that task for WZ, particularly with the person who has sadly deceased.
