Spelling of "armor"

Post by iamtheari »

Pumpkin was a British studio.  I have noticed at least two spellings of "armor" in the game.  One is "armor" in American style, and the other is "amour" [sic] in misspelled style.  I remember the second one from the original game, and I have always wondered if "thermal amour" is a disgustingly bad joke about "hot love" or just a pervasive typo.  Do we want to fix this?

I think "armor" now is standart for all games and it will be right. (as for me)

I got that idea too. ;)
But that is the last item of things to do on a long list...

iamtheari, that's not the only british artifact, you have to look at the scripting functions; centre and colour is something I used to over the years. ;)

Personally, I'd stick with the British spellings. (It's proper English, first, not 'American,' and we want to respect, and remember Pumpkin Studios, correct?) I mean...it does look cool.  :P

Oh, and, Troman.
Long time no see, eh? Perhaps you'll remember a Tyranid, from the Newst/Pumpkin-2 era. (If you didn't catch the hint, that's me.  ;))

Another oldtimer, huh? Yes, I remember your nick, but time has erased all the details from my memory, been too long ago. ;)

Yeah, well...perhaps some of those memories weren't quite good, I really couldn't say.

In any case, I was...barely a teenager, at most.

So, things have changed, and I have useful input this time!  :o

I see Coyote here, too. I wonder what would happen if everyone ended up on these boards...
