ok, i found that tank on my harddisk and wanted to get it ingame
take a look at it after i created 10 of them, the framerate felt down to a noticable level
then i realised that each tank's got 1300 faces^^
note: the shadows are on the texture (ambient occlusion)
anyway here's the mod (runs at least in trunk for skirmish)
remark: start in T3

It would also have natural stealth on Mac OS X 10.5.8 with Nvidia video cards, as well as all other combinations with texture issues.

I have no texture issues with OSX 10.5.8 and a raedon 2600HD card... but how would I install that thank file?

If you could separate the tracks and the main gun from the turret I think it would make for some nice graphical upgrades The turret looks like a modernized abram's so it could replace the med or light cannon. The tracks just look nice for a medium or heavy. No idea if the chassis could replace the cobra or similar as we can't see it properly.
Current status: Sick and Learning to model in blender. Failing at both.

yeah, would be nice, but the current way how team colours are implemented is way too cluttered with so many polys. (in addition to this, the blender pie exporter doesn't even work (according to its readme)). in this case i want to push forward the wzm format.

This is really inspiring, great work elio! Seeing a model with actual detail in warzone is unreal, and it shows what this could look like with a modern model set.
I wouldn't worry about the poly count, 1300 is plenty low. And if you throw lower LoDs in with that it is extremely low. And the terrain mesh is so low poly that this might as well be a space game, as far as the rendering is concerned.

then, at least the renderer is not optimized for that. produce 10 tanks and the frame rate comes down to a low level..
