Code: Select all

warzone2100 --debug all
and give me the return when starting a video.

Try to make another topic for this problem...maybe more answers for you ^^
I got this info:

Code: Select all

warning : [seq_Play] Sequence display is currently disabled (sequences/cam1/c001.rpl)
warning : [seq_StartFullScreenVideo] seq_StartFullScreenVideo: unable to initialise sequence sequences/cam1/c001.rpl
Umm, after looking in the folders, there are no ".rpl" files, just ".ogg" files. Where do I find the ".rpl" files?

Oh, after a bit of digging, I figured it out. My system was still trying to run the old 2008 binary in /usr/local, but the "make install" sent the new file to /usr/local/bin. I do see the vids now.

After compile completes and I run "make install", when I run the game and start a new single-player campaign, I still don't get video or audio. Is there something else I need to do, or were the vids disabled again?
Erm, 'make install' wouldn't copy the data to the correct directory, since it is optional. Once it goes official, 'make install' will work as normal, but now, you just have to copy the sequences to the whatever directory it installs everything else in.
and it ends here.

Those are available here: http://warzone.mortis.eu/nightly-builds/ or http://download.gna.org/warzone/snapshots/

*ALWAYS* use a debug build, like so: warzone2100_TRUNK-r6119-debug.exe (anything higher than 6119 is ok)
on this sites main download page there is

Daily Trunk Snapshoot <<<<<(this leads to http://svn.gna.org/daily/warzone-snapshot.tar.gz , is this a valid source for us to get these nightly-builds?)

Edit: ok i guess not, maybe someone could edit that link on the main download page to point to http://warzone.mortis.eu/nightly-builds/ please?

I have been playing/testing warzone2100_TRUNK-r6608. I have played the entire Alpha mission and started the Urban/Beta missions. I have had two issues which I wanted to report. First, during design upgrades when I attempt to change the propulsion system for an existing design the game will crash(CTD). After restarting the game, upgrading works fine. I have had this happen three times, in Alpha missions 6 & 12 as well as Urban mission 3.

Second, in Urban mission 3, the radar map is off-set. the lights indicating artifacts and bases is off to the right of the map and the highlighted area showing the screens veiw is off-set to the left of the map.

On a positive note, the FMV's are working fine and the tropuble I had with 2.1.1 slowing down or "stuttering" has gone away.

My system:
HP Pavilion Laptop
AMD Turion 64X2 TL-58, 1.9 MHz Dual Core
2.0 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7150M integrated graphics with the latest drivers
128 MB Video RAM dedicated, up to ~500 MB shared Video RAM
Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit SP-1

A somewhat easier way to install FMVs is to download: http://wzguide.co.cc/files/sequences.wz

And place it in your mods/global/autoload/ directory.

It should be working with that nightly.

Can you tell me which directory you have the sequences in?

Testing campaigns with Movies using NightlyBuild "warzone2100_TRUNK-r6781-debug"
System:
MSI Laptop GX700
Intel Core2 1.8ghz
2.0 GB RAM
NVIDIA 8600M GT 512
WIN Vista Home Premium SP1

Currently I'm in the third campaign.
Errors I've had:
- (BUILD warzone2100_TRUNK-r6682-debug)
When overwriting a savegame, the game crashes sometimes. This happens only when saving in-game (not in stats). It seems to be solved in the current build though.

- A pathfinding assertion error which I can't get rid off. This one happens in the mission where you have to rescue the units from alpha-base. (savegame included)
Even when ending the mission using cheats ("let me win"), it will just pop up half a minute later in the next.
