i have an account on the psp ISO yes and thought it would be cool to get my mate (also on the ISO) to allow the psx version to be played on psp

The proprietary sony code and libraries were stripped out before the original source was released to us. I think the chances of WZ going back to any of Sony's systems is unlikely.

I believe he is talking about using an .iso rip of the original PSX version of the game and running it on a PSP using an emulator.

If this is the case then the legality of it all is highly questionable.

I think I've read that Sony plans to release almost their entire back catalogue of PSX games as cheap downloads for the PSP, similar to the way Nintendo has released a lot of their old stuff.
You could always hope the PSX version of Warzone 2100 is among them.

that and i have a slightly more dubious method involving my copy of the psx version (original copy) and ripping it to pc e-mailing it to my friend and having her help me out by translating it or emulating it

it might work i hope so the propogation of it to psp would greatly improve its publicity i think

i think it would be neat to get as many versions out there even if some of the versions cant be cross platform. ex. ps3 xb360 psp wii

i found it already adapted for psp by someone on the ISO not me but i hope it helps propogate the game more nonetheless

I would be careful about this. I don't think that the Liberation of the PC-Game affects the PSX Version as well.

I used to play psx Warzone on my xbox with an emu. Psp should be capable of it too, as it can handle emulators.
Making a 2.x version of warzone (aka not original 1.0), though, would be nearly impossible as it would require a rewriting of almost everything...
Anyway I still like the original, so I see no problem
