Range of fire / sight.
Hi,
my wish for the next wz versions would be,
to implement a visible range of fire and/or sight of the unit / radar tower.
Like a small circle around that unit.
For example, red circle for Range-Of-Fire and a blue one for the Range-Of-Sight.
And maybe a green one for Range-Of-Radar.
And maybe some more informations.
Like, if i select an moving unit, that a thin line is shown, which points to the point where the unit is moving too.
Same for the attack. That would make the unit / groundshaker management easier

Where is the difference of sight-radius and radar-radius?
Otherwise this idea sounds good. Though I would only show this info on the press of a button.
Has good chances to get into 2.1 if you push me a lot in my holidays.

With radar i mean CB-Towers, normal radar etc...

that will be ugly imo,maybe some extended 'pop up' damage/range info when your mouse is over the unit looks better.
tasks postponed until the trunk is relatively stable again.

The idea was to just display that artificial circles while you press the buttons. Perhaps I am able to smoothly blend it in and smoothly blend it out when you release the button...
At no time I wanted to display this circles all the time, because, yes, that wouldn't look too nice. (Perhaps use a toggle if this approach turns out to be not usable.)

you mean like in AIBoost Mod for 1.10 (wdg version). That is good thing, but in that mod there were bugs with that circles(they were make from "blue" & "wight" little "fire" & when you press button in the game some fire effects are gone at all never shows again. (I hope you understant what I wrote). If to implement this feature so we must use another textures or not animated. I think.Kamaze wrote: Hi,
