I feel it's harder to beat the the AI now after it is only "easy", "medium", "hard" and "insane", instead of the slide bar.

After made my first real good map and tested it I realized that I done something wrong. The AI on Easy level only build "Trucks" and "factories". No guns, no towers, no radar, nothing. (Need to give them a "Research Facility" (?) )

But an idea came to me. (Have I told It before? :? Can't find it on the forum so... :) )
Instead of just "easy", "medium", "hard" and "insane", why not be able to also choose if the AI is going to be "defensive" or "aggressive" ? Building much towers or build much tanks ?

It's not only UI change.
It's need to be change whole AI logic, and programming new tactics and strategic of AI code ..

The old slider bar made no sense to me as an end user, and as a n00b AI developer I can see it would be an utter nightmare to make an AI adapt to a slider-based difficulty scale in any comprehensible manner.

Personally I think the 3.1 approach is much better, and there are fairly clear ideas about how each level should ideally behave:

* EASY = Act like a n00b.
* MEDIUM = Act like a seasoned Skirmish pro.
* HARD = Act like a seasoned MP pro.
* INSANE = Do whatever it takes, even cheat if it has to.

As for your AI not building stuff, well, that could be a bug in the AI or an issue with the map (if it's the map, post it so AI developers can test on it to see why their AI doesn't work). All AIs will build all important structures, including labs, and do research to get weapons, etc., but there might be something preventing them from doing that on the map you tested on.

Sorry, dont think I saved that old version of the map. Change the map so it now works.....
