The shadows are too dark IMO, at least for a map I'm working on and would like to make it brighter. How can I make it brighter?
Also, is there any way to change the orientation of the shadows? By default, my screen is always looking at the "dark side" of walls but if I rotate my view 180, walls facing the other direction are much brighter. Anyway I can change it such that players face the lighted side of walls by default instead of the shadowed side?

Re: How do I make maps brighter?
Nope, not at this time.
The only thing you could do is have new textures that are brighter.

Turn shaddows off see if that helps.

Take something that stimulates, buy a new monitor which is using IPS TFT with LED back-lighting. This is why I have a ea232wmi-bk -> http://www.necdisplay.com/p/desktop-mon ... pe=support only issue is on FPS it's sluggish with refreshing the screen and you may get some odd screen tears etc. So if you love RTS something like this is perfect. Or if you have a high price budget - http://www.nec-display-solutions.com/p/ ... ce&cat=LCD
