You can fail to make proper tile transitions and the map will still look good.
You can also use the 3.1 dataset in FlaME, and use any features on any tileset (no more blue huts).

Yeah, and pleeeease ... there have been fitted some very bad maps into Warzone that look and feel very ugly (Printus & Co). Please replace them by better ones asap!

Would it be possible to get some of the maps made by duda included?

4/5 player: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9342#p102622 - design based on logo of the Collective faction

10 player: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9342#p102991 - design based on map of Europe!

Also, the addons section on this site seems to be "under construction"?

I am persistent in my thinking. I am aware of my strange methods and I know there are better ones. I suggest any maps made by those outside programs copying pictures into mapmaking programs to be placed into separate section of addons when it will be reedy. Or at least those very simply obvious ones.

And yes addons is being renewed for a while already.

If those are final maps, and they have the correct license, and they don't have any errors in logs, and are good maps, and support all three base options (no base, base, adv. base), I don't see a reason not to include them.

aubergine I downloaded this 5 player map and a quick look at it show no bases you have advanced tanks there already and in BASES it has sat link this is way advanced for starting bases ... ADVANCED BASES have a few extra hardpoints but are very similar to start BASES

The new maps by tmp500, 6c-hidious_v2.wz and 9c-ambulant_v8.wz, look seriously promising.

If we do, then we should consider giving some maps some sort of "seal of quality", so that we could tell which maps people on the dev team liked alot.

If there is a list of map making tips, I'd very much like someone to PM me a link to it as I want to add lots of documentation on that subject to the mods wiki I'm working on. :)
