I've modified the "Desert" Tileset because i think grim's one do not rulez enough...

I've got the grass from the Lordaeron Summer / Fall Tileset from warcraft III and modified somethings

Enjoy the screenshots =]

P/S: The .png file is the source for the tileset. Just put it inside a folder named texpages inside ur wz2100 folder, rename your warzone.wz to warzone.zip and put the folder into the zip. After that, rename the warzone.zip to warzone.wz and enjoy  ;D

Later i'll modify urban and mountains tilesets too, and post here.

Also i want to re-create the scenery, the actual one is too ugly =\

I think we should create the textures from scratch instead of using modified propertiery contents of other games, since not all of us has a copy of those 'contents' to justify the usage.

you're right but i think it's nice that people try out several things and this is certainly not a bad try :d

I'm saying scenery as all the ground textures and map features, like buildings, trees and something like.

Not editing textures, but the 3d models too...

yes, those sheds you find in the desert look like they were build after the collapse with the only means the people had. But i think they are supposed to be remains from before the collapse. And the urban skyscrapers look so crappy when they collapse. I think this would be interesting to create some sort of big scenery database from which the map designer could choose. created scenery could be posted here and if approved by "the community" it could be imported into the database. This scenery should have a few requirements to pass such as fit in with the original scenery (so that both can be used together), be bug free, don't brake any original wz thoughts,... this way we would quarantee that the content remains high quality and not force anyone to use it. Just give them the option of expanding the scenery a bit.

In my new campaigns project, there shall be two campaigns... The "Prologue" one, who cames since before the collapse to the search for The Project's military base and search for survivals

And the 2120 Campaign, in who a terrorist group starts attacks in the major fortresses of the world... and trying to rebuild the NEXUS Technology

It will be a City tileset, with beautifull and high buildings, cute land, nice atmosphere, trees and people. Yeah, people!

Hmm so you're suggesting that they rebuild the whole world after the collapse in just 20 years? Sounds fast.

i agree, the global population in 2100 is like 50 million at most -- if the entire project group moved into a major city, they could fit all of their people in one large hotel, so in 20 years, you might see 3 or 4 nice looking buildings amidst a bunch that full of shattered glass and are falling down

Or you could mirror the original. instead of 3 sectors make it 3 newly born settlements. The first part: The least developed settlement. It's been newly founded and needs protection from an army because it can't rely on it's own for defence. This would mean you have control of a small army force low tech. After a few missions move to settlement2 and it's surroundings . This could be some sort of pre build military city with medium tech level but lot's of man power. Next city 3 would be the flagship settlement with some newly build skyscrapers etc... + high tech and mass destruction weapons. I suppose the game could be expanded over several years which could give you the option of starting in 2120 and ending in 2140 or something. Or you could just make it wz 2200.

I'm not saying that... not remake the world.

The world population after the collapse is < 5 million... So, they could live into an independent state, free from the nuclear winter, free from the radiation, a Beautyfull place, like in "Aeon Flux", when only 5 million people were survivors of a terrible virus, and started to live all together into a city called Bregna.

There could be 10~30 cities united by one Major City, mountains and walls surrounding all its land.

And there could be, too, missions trying to search for new habitable places in the world.

P/S: I tought thgat i shall make something like Space Tileset...[Obviouslly the new terrorists shall retake the spacial human control, who was not affected by the collapse...] or the Moon. In 20 years they CAN rebuild the world's spacial technology and retake the moon bases =P

[In rl, the first lunar base will be built in 2020 by the N.A.S.A]
