Announcements: Diorama 1.1.1 and a simple AI mod

We have just released two items: Diorama 1.1.1, and a simple AI mod which adds a third technology branch to stock AI.

Description of the simple AI mod
The simple AI mod works best in a large team game 3v5 or 4v4. The new branch is designed to combat players that turtle a lot and play "tower defence". Your results may vary :)

Changelog for Diorama 1.1.1
Instead of writing a bunch of files into ~/.warzone-2.2, we now write a single .wz map archive into ~/.warzone-2.2/maps. Also, the addon.lev file within is much more complete, so you can play tier 2 and tier 3 games as well now.

Initial support for global features: You can choose between Hotspot, Wasteland, Lake and Continent.
The following is an example of the 'hotspot' and 'lake' global feature:

Dev NOTE! Make sure the filename that you use in the input box is all lower case, it must match the map filename that this utility produces, or else the map can't be transferred to other people.

Sweet. Thanks in advance, & all the best with your exams. :)

I think most Win platform fans of the game will dl and there will
be hundreds of new maps as a result this time next year.

As much as I've enjoyed making my own HMs and using EW
over the years I look forward to putting all the annoying quirks
of 32EW behind me and tinkering with the maps generated by
Diorama - it looks so fun. :D.

Florian, you may want to throw up a warning/error on the map size, if it is higher than 250x250.
Also, you may want to make sure the name of the map doesn't start with a number. (don't ask. :stressed: )

Oh, and the road/tracks should be fixed now in trunk...

Florian, you may also want to change the write directory, for the maps, for trunk, it is now /.warzone2100-trunk/maps

What can I say ???

Bloody good work everyone, made an old WZ2100 player young again.

Command and Conquer, obsolete compared with WZ, the C&C guys need to look here for new inspiration, they sure can learn a lot from the Ressurection guys.

Thanks for re-incarnating a truly epic game, now where`d I put those hellstorm tanks???
