Urban Sky
Urban Sky
Hi everyone,
Finally the Arizona sky bored me enough to create an urban one. I already committed it.
Anyone cares to make one for the Rockies? The skies are in data/base/texpages/page-25-sky-*.png. For testing, just overwrite the urban one, as it is currently also used for the rockies. If you are done, you can save it as page-25-sky-rockies.png and edit vidmem3.wrf so that it gets used by the game.

Re: Urban Sky
wow, that looks great.
Kind of miss skeletons of burnt out skyscrapers and bent metal things though, but I guess that might be too hard to make, and maybe the Warzone skybox wouldn't be able to handle that. The ruins would have to be static (and the clouds are moving, aren't they?).

We all have the same heaven, but not the same horizon.
Re: Urban Sky
Eh, Kamaze? What do you mean by this link? The post you linked is one by me with an Arizona sky.Kamaze wrote:viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1297&st=0&sk=t&sd= ... =15#p11962gerard_ wrote:Anyone cares to make one for the Rockies?
Re: Urban Sky
Wouldn't that fit for the Rockies?
We all have the same heaven, but not the same horizon.
Re: Urban Sky
Not really, as the rockies is the terrain with snow. I don't think a red sky will fit.
Re: Urban Sky
Hm, seems like I messed it up with the "Desert"-terrain.
We all have the same heaven, but not the same horizon.
Re: Urban Sky
i think of the red sky as the doomed earth and it nuclear sky. Well nexus said something about the earth burning

Re: Urban Sky
Looks a bit too bluish. I'd expect urban skies to have more grey. Maybe a bit lighter in color. As someone said in another thread, it's gives too much hope for a game like this.gerard_ wrote:Hi everyone,

Not that it's not an excellent sky, of course.
Re: Urban Sky
I like this new sky a lot. Usually i do not play the urban maps often, because they look so depressively.

Re: Urban Sky
The sky looks like too modern in a apocaliptic scenarie like in the Warzone, but looks good, well done.gerard_ wrote:Hi everyone,

Also, i made a mod with urban and rockies skies.
It's not like a great mod, so try it:
