Re: NWS & GFX Skin for 2.1 Beta 4 UPDATED!
looks too comic-like for me, very flashy.
The textures look, as they were made with Paint, too clean, no shades.
No offence guys, just my mind

Re: NWS & GFX Skin for 2.1 Beta 4 UPDATED!
Paint forever! ))) I think textures need to lower the gamma + some blur effect (too clean)+ more dark colors... but anyway this mod doesn't work for me ((( ..game always crashes..

It is possible to create much better things with paint,Black Project wrote:

it always depends on person who is creating the work, not on the tool which is used.

All of the ones in your link are pixel art. People who use MS Paint generally favor low-color, no-anti-aliasing. Gradients are usually achieved by dithering. While it's possible to get anti-aliasing and true gradients in MS Paint (and even opacity, although having both anti-aliasing/true gradients and variable opacity requires tons of patience and I've never actually seen it done), it's usually a lot more difficult and time-consuming than in Photoshop, and I don't think I've ever seen it done more than once or twice.MetalBeast wrote:It is possible to create much better things with paint,

I wouldn't really say there's anything Paint can do that Photoshop can't do nearly as easily, aside from, say, not costing ~$600. Okay, Paint has easier floodfills and better handling of switching between two colors, but it's not that much worse in Photoshop.

sorry, game always crashes with Grim's GFX mod for me not your mod. I was mistaken :rolleyes:What version you play? Did you use the correct command line parameter?
But your textures need to be more detailed!

Hehe, keep cool man, I know this all, so you do not have to write whole books every time here.Zarel wrote:All of the ones in your link are pixel art. I was just sarcastic, all I wanted to say is, "it is not most important what tool you are using,
but your experience and your artistic capabilities"
I know people using very old PaintShopPro versions and can create much better textures,
like people using the newest Photoshop megasoftware
