NTW Mod v1.6.5 for Warzone 2100 v2.1 beta2 released

NTW Mod got T1 Balancer research but now its ok if you play t2 or t3^^.
t2 and t3 are still not totaly right but better than before.
you must build a little Scavenger Base first and btw Spaceman...
i did the "same" like you with the Scavenger Bus and Fire Truck Body.
i did 1.6.5 for Warzone 2100 1.10 and after a time i saw that you did it too, hope its np.

more new/old stuff and credits
new Heavy Gauss Cannon and new look/.pie for Plasma Cannon from LOD Mod.
added the Walls from my Warzone 2100 Voice and GFX Skin (made by Elric, GrimMoroe).
mines, mine sweeper, cyborg sniper and day/night + changed weather is made by 1.12 patch.
Nuclear Reactor and Cooling Tower script made by Kevin and Speedy.
a few body colors/textures are from Acid Rain, Luke Mod and some .pies which Pumpkin didnt use.
Scavenger Body .pie made by Kreuvf.
balancing and the rest is made by me.

say if you need a installer for Windows.

Edit: in the changelist is written that there is a better AI...
well, not in the Resurrection Version. 2.1 got Aivolution AI ^^.

Edit2: uploaded new. mutiplayer with other players didnt work.
and the Nuclear Reactor still not work in multiplayer somehow : (. fix it later...

Here is my first Game report:

Positiv:
- the new Scavanger units are great.
- building mines is a real advantage
- new balancing rocks

negativ:
- the AI- does not build Scavanger soilders, and levels up to tanks real quick
- was not able to research and/or build the factory for normal tanks
- scavanger vehicles are missing

ideas:

- change the research tree, so that one starts of with scavanger units only and has to invent everything about the tanks, like this
small body>small wheel>Tank factory >;
- Scavanger energy buildings should produce far less energy than normal ones
- the first construction vehicle should be a scavanger soilder, that builds real slow (start game with 4 units)

Here is my first Game report:

Positiv:
- the new Scavanger units are great.

- ya, ai has the normal research tree, cant build scavenger units and mines i know.
i try to fix the research tree for them in the next version. but its still possible to win ; ).

- well you start with scavenger units only (set to no bases) but small body>small wheel>Tank factory... no sorry.
and btw. research tree for buildings is full ^^.
- there are still only 2 power build upgrades. and scavenger power generator produce much less ^^.
- i tryed it with little scavenger builders. it worked, but its for me not possible to change the animation.
Made by me? I cannot remember having done this.
hmm, your scavenger mod? was it not yours?^^ who made it then?

what is required to build the tank factory ?

I couldn't find the option in the building menu.

Concerning the AI. If you change the techtree, you should do it for AIvolution, this one is much smarter.

- I understand if you can't introduce any more research options, but there should be some sort of gap, or distinction between the scavenger technologies and the military ones, and one link that introduces the new stuff.

- Thats why I first thought of having a scavenger builder, that can only build scavenger technologies, and one very first research option, that enables tank factories, that can build the standard trucks, who can build the rest.

-So only one research option for scavenger research facility, that takes quite a while and keeps the game at scavenger level.

- After that you can build the tank facility, and the trucks, that can build the standard research facilities...

This could be most fun.

BTW: If you can't use scavenger units for building, take the cyborg builder as gap filler for the time being

The question now is can you have different build menus for different units, and different research menus for different buildings ?

If not you could just add one introductory research issue, that opens up the tree,

If you need any help let me know. ( I know my way around with stats etc.)

no
what is required to build the tank factory ?
If not you could just add one introductory research issue, that opens up the tree.
there is a changelist and a research change list... check the .zip file.

I did read your manual, but was still not able to build any normal unit in the factories.

All I can build is the scavenger infantry units, and the truck

Consider those figures for scavenger bodies jacked, they are definitely better than the original. I won't jack anymore of figures after that

Outstanding work, Delphinio, well done, lots of Scavenger stuff make the mod interesting, especially the AI of the enemy, and the day/night feature, which i like very much and let the game very real

Positive :)
Huge amounts of structures, lots of scavenger stuff

Mines->very usefull to defend your base, don't use it if your base had only one exit

AI unnaltered-> better AI than that older AI of NTW Mod1.4

Nuclear Reactor->Lots of power!

day/night feature->cool

New weapons make it atractive to play(twin heavy cannon, super twin cannon, heavy gauss cannon)

Negative :(
The scavengers bodies had less power output, not the same like in the spaceman's mod

Sensor range very blind-> it's very stupid you have a Heavy Gauss Cannon Vengeance Tracks which fires at 2048 meters if it only can see 1433 meters, you should uptade the DefaultSensorMk1 and the ZNULLSENSOR (need to got the same range of the NavGunSensor[2048])

Flamers->decent firepower but too slow reloading, must fire like in the 2.1 BETA 2 MP!

You're not able to carry multiple turrets in the NTW Mod 1.6.5

Cannon has left to be usefull, now forget the heavy cannon causing 440HP damage  :'(, but think how many the super twin cannon causes...

I fool around with the AIvolution stuff at the moment and managed to change some research and build options, that favour your mod.

But in order to make the AI build the scavenger units, I need to know what they are called in the template.
