YAGeSM - Yet Another Generic Stats Mod

A stats mods for 3.1 and 3.2 versions, designed for one player skirmish and co-op gameplay.

Main features:
  • YAGeSM available for 3.1 release since version 2.0.
  • Merged all cyborg body/kinetic/thermal point research upgrades with their vehicle variants.
  • Merged all thermal armor upgrades with kinetic armor/body point upgrades.
  • Cyborg and Vehicle Transports become available once VTOL Factory is researched.
  • Lowered enemy AI difficulty from Hide Behind Me and No Place To Hide challenges to easy.
  • Mortars and Howitzers are now considered cannon class weapons. Reseach upgrades for such weapons were removed, since they're now affected by cannon upgrades.
  • Hurricane and Whirlwind AA Guns are now considered machine gun class weapons. Reseach upgrades for such weapons were removed, since they're now affected by machine gun upgrades.
  • Fixed Hide Behind Me challenge allied AI teams being set incorrectly (3.1 release only).
  • Make sure maximum and minimum elevation to all weapons are set to 90 and -90 respectively.
  • Added command turret variant for most direct fire weapons. These special weapons have maximum accuracy (100% chance to hit their target) and have their original attack range increased by one tile (128 units). Weapons which have commander turret variant:

  • All weapons (except howitzers, ripple rocket and archangel missile) have their attack range increased by 2 tiles (256 units).
  • All cyborg weapons attack distance matches their vehicle weapons variant.
  • Doubled projectile flight speed (except VTOL bombs and indirect fire weapons).
  • Decreased to zero minimum attack range to all weapons inherited with.
  • Decreased projectile flight speed to 8 tiles (1024 units) to all indirect fire weapons.
  • Structure modules, sensor towers, bastions/fortresses, anti-aircraft artillery, artillery batteries and most direct-fire defenses can now be disabled via-structure limits list.
  • Expanded structure limits list for 3.2 release. Structures added to list:

Interesting. I would love to hear people's impressions of these changes when they try them out.

Anything missing from the new stats formats, that is things that you would like to change but currently cannot?

While i was working on the next version of my mod, i have discovered a few glaring issues overlooked before the first release:

  • Cannon upgrades not taking effect to Light Cannon, Medium Cannon, Hyper Velocity Cannon and Assault Cannon (VTOL variants are just fine. This issue was due to the fact that i have made their cyborgs variant's "name" match their names as well.
  • VTOL aircrafts equipped with Plasma Cannon refusing to fire at ground targets. The "fireOnMove" value was set to 0 instead of 1.
Also, more structures were added to the limit lists, which will be listed when the new version comes out.

After nearly two months since the first version, i'm happy to announce that the second release of YAGeSM is now available for download.

The older 1.0 release is no longer available on this thread and sooner will be replaced on the Addons page by the newer release.
