Yeah, it works with the original texture too, uploading the .pie file so you can play with it.
Also, did a sand texture.

I was looking at the screenies you posted elsewhere, the zebra-sand looks more psychedelic than cartoon IMHO. It brings back disturbing memories of seeing a scene in a TV documentary about Peter Stringfellow where he was wearing silk tiger-stripe thong... *shudder*

Updated texpage 12, now includes remade textures for tech center, walls and tank traps, as well as waypoint markers :)

.

The sand dunes do remind me of artist Peter Max's color palette and shapes. But since I'm an old fan of the "Yellow Submarine" & "Fantastic Planet" toons, Steve Ditko's art for the early "Dr. Strange" comics and STERANKO's art for "Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D." comics, the dune's style does bring back fond memories. However, they do have a flourescence about 'em that draws a lot of eye attention.

I had some free time today so I remade the project bodies. Slight geometry and UV changes but the models are still compatible with theoriginal texpage.

Those are awesome! I love the way you put the light and dark highlights on to make it look slightly 3D, really nice effect!

Thanks goth & aubergine.
Unfortunately I currently have too little time to work on art revolution, but the simplicity of this style allows me to actually get something done in less than an hour :)

Edit: reuploaded bodies.zip, forgot to add connectors to the .pies

Slightly modified the tracks and hovers for better texture mapping. New texture still works with the old models, though.

"It's ready when it's done"™
Felipe made a nice repository, unfortunately I haven't gotten to creating a gitorious account yet...
Feel free to draw something if you like ;) I'd like to see this thread as a spawning pool for cartoony stuff, which can then be assembled into a mod once there is enough content.

don't feel abandoned by me.
I'm busy in rl and working on the c++ code of wz.
I tried to make some bodies/structures but yours are so much better than mine !!!

Go here: https://github.com/ and create a free account.
Say to me the name of your account and I add you as a collaborator on my repo.

others:
here https://github.com/epilef/mod_cartoon you can click on the zip icon on the left and download mod_cartoon.zip.
Rename it as .wz and place in the autoload folder.
Enjoy. :D

Jorzi:
I added your account as collaborator so you have write rights.
If you have git already installed (if not, install it) in your machine, you can:
git clone https://github.com/epilef/mod_cartoon.git

this should create a folder named mod_cartoon
If you make some change on a texture or txt files, then, inside mood_cartoon tipe:
git commit -a -m 'updated texture xxxx'
to commit changes, and then
git push origin master
to publish your commit in the repository.

If you add a new file, you have to do:
git add path/to/some/file.png
git commit ....
git push ....

other useful commands are:
git status
git log
git diff

here you can find the complete git documentation:
http://git-scm.com/documentation

Redid the wheels tonight. Tweaked the models, too.
Will push stuff to repo once I've exported the new models ;)
