i'm a ubuntu user and i couldn't play skirmish with a windows 10 user friend. Both with the lastest version of WZ using IP connection.
I downloaded a windows version and launch it with WINE, and then it works. But I would like to play with native app.
There is some way to play with different OS at the same skirmish?

Re: Linux user vs Windows user
In multiplayer they play on 3.2.3 and 3.1.5 versions.
In the repositories, 3.1.1 is now available for 16.04 or 3.2.1 for 18.04. On these versions, no one plays.
The easiest way to install a new version is to compile it.

Re: Linux user vs Windows user
Just to be clear: you need exact same version number of the game (eg. 3.2.3 or 3.1.5) on both machines, but cross-platform multiplayer *is* fully supported: you *can* play multiplayer matches between native builds for two different OSes as long as version numbers match.
