I try to finish the first mission in the Alpha campaign, but it is not like in the version I play 2016. In the older version of the game the mission is fullfilled when you find the forth artifact. But in the last version (V.3.2.3) of the game the don´t end at this point and so i failed. What I have to do to end the mission succesful?

I seriously recommend grabbing a master (development) build from http://buildbot.wz2100.net/files/ and using that to play campaign until 3.3.0 is released. May not be perfect, but campaign works pretty well at the moment.

If memory serves you have to research the tech you picked up. I know because I've passed that mission twice without issues.

No, you definitely aren't required to research it.
