Units don't move as they should

Hi,
I used to play Warzone 2100 original (v 1) about 12 years ago and didn't get to finish the campaign. Then recently I found out about the new (3.1.5) version so I downloaded and installed it.
I started the campaign from scratch (cause the savegames are not compatible) and the main issue I have had so far is that when i order a specific unit surrounded by other units to move to a different location, other units don't move away and that unit gets stuck until I move others away on my own.
I'm pretty sure it was OK on the original Warzone.
Is it a known issue or there is a workaround?
