Could anyone tell me what the exact power incom statistics are? eg. oil derrick generates 2 per second when connected to a power station? much appreciated

Hmm. This describes the effect of modules and power upgrades.
A direct measurement shows that a single derrick provides a single unupgraded generator with around 2/3 energy per second ($40 per minute).

The 'power type' (or 'power level') of a game is used to define the initial output of derricks, then as mentioned above power module and upgrades boost that amount.
