That mission is actually pretty simple once you know what it is that you're supposed to do.

As soon as you get to the mission zone, you will want to do standard stuff like build a repair facility. Send your group into the valley (accessible easily beyond the first scav. base). If you are fast enough, you'll intercept the enemy convoy and destroy it, recovering an artifact. Don't let any convoy members escape.

Once the convoy is destroyed, split your forces into two groups. Have the first proceed up the mountain and toward the Paradigm LZ (expect heavy resistance). Send your second group toward the east and then up, around to the back of the N.P. LZ. Make sure you have repair facilities nearby so that your units don't have to retreat far.

Once you've mopped them up, then if you have time remaining, you can send inexperienced units into the scav. bases for experience.

If you can build Piton body, on first transport should be:

-one commander
-three heavy machine guns
-three heavy canons or light

This mission is really weird. Even after killing all enemies on the map, taking the artifact and starting to research it, the shuttle lands in the middle of my tanks, and takes off again, and it says "enemy escaping" even though there was no enemy left whatsoever to escape.

Apparently you have to stop a few tanks from getting up to that platform, otherwise it decides that you lose, even though the mission continues anyway.
