I've been attempting to play the game on Mint Linux and while the game played great, none of the videos worked. I tried a bunch of things to get them to work, including following the posted instructions and putting the sequences.wz file in the proper folder but to no avail. I finally figured out, you have to do the following to get it to work:
1. Extract the sequences.wz folder to somewhere temporary. This will contain a sequences folder and a few instruction files.
2. Take the sequences folder and move it into the proper location. That's ~/.warzone2100-2.3/ at the time this was written.
3. RENAME the sequences folder you just moved to ~/.warzone2100-2.3/sequences.wz/
So, the instructions listed here: http://wz2100.net/download should indicate that sequences.wz should be a folder on the filesystem, NOT just the un-extracted file.
Hope this helps save someone some time.
Out.
