I never see games in multiplayer

Post by lowededwookie »

Using the Mac version I have yet to see any games show up in the list.

I'm picking Lobby means internet play and IP is for local gaming right?

When I go to Lobby it's always showing no games so is it an issue with the Mac version not playing with others or is it because I live in New Zealand there's no one online at the time I try it?

I've tried various times during the night but not so much during the day because I'm generally at work or play so I have no real idea if there is a problem or if my timing just sucks.

Well, it'll tell you if there's a connection error.

You can also check http://wz2100.net/lobbyserver to make sure.

Thanks Zarel.

It is my timing. :)

I checked out that link you sent and it did show up some games so I went into WZ and sure enough they were there.

I guess when I'm ready to play everyone else is in bed or at work. Typical. :D

I think most people give up after looking for 30 secs or so waiting for a game to show up.

That is why we are pushing people to visit IRC, on #warzone2100 or #warzone2100-games, and have people host / ask for games there...

We don't have a big enough user base to have lots of games always available...
and it ends here.

I think the bigger problem isn't so much a small userbase, but that using the lobby is an extremely frustrating experience for everyone involved - people who don't speak English, lobby code that crashes every five minutes, being unable to join games after anyone leaves...
