multiplayer online

Post by muddog44 »

My brother and I along with two friends tried to play online together so I hosted one and my brother could get on but my friends could not. We think it has something to do with the firewall, but I'm not sure what to do about it.

Most likely is a firewall issue or router.

Open up the correct ports.  If still don't work, then bypass it.  First bypass the router (if you have one), test, and if it don't work, then bypass the firewall, and see if it works then.
and it ends here.

What, you want me to use correct grammar at this late hour?  :P

Ok, fine "If it still doesn't work"
Happy now?  :)

How do you do what?  Open the correct ports on your firewall or router?  Dunno, you haven't told me what firewall or router you have.
Bypass the firewall/router?  You exit/turn off the firewall program, and you bypass the router by plugging in the CAT5 cable from the modem to your machine.

Details people, need details!
and it ends here.
