3.2.2 portable: Frequent error messages and can't finish A2

I'm frequently getting error messages on screen. Log pasted in below.
Also, I can't complete A2 (Investigate power surge). All enemies are killed, all artifacts recovered, the 4th oil derrick is build and all research is complete. But the timer just runs out and the mission fails.
Clicking the icon in the top left on the main screen tell me that an update is available. However it just points me to the same download. I tried re-downloading and reinstalling to an empty directory, but I still have the same issues.
