Basicly when I try to host a multiplayer game, it says:
Server message:
Error while connecting to the lobby server: Connection timed out
Make sure port 2100 can reciever ncoming connections.
No UPnP device was found. You must mannually configure your router &firewall to open port 2100 before you can host a game.
I have set both incoming and outcoming to "allow" with Gufw, but it hasn't made any difference.
any ideas on how to fix it? thanks.

Care to show your firewall rule?

Re: Problems with opening port 2100 on ubuntu
I typed in this to terminal:
sudo ufw status
and this is what it said:
Status: active
To Action From
-- ------ ----
2100 ALLOW Anywhere
9990 ALLOW Anywhere
2100 (v6) ALLOW Anywhere (v6)
9990 (v6) ALLOW Anywhere (v6)
sudo ufw status
and this is what it said:

What about the router? Did you open up those ports?
What happens when you do sudo ufw disable?

Re: Problems with opening port 2100 on ubuntu
I did sudo ufw disable and restarted and it made no difference.
I am using mobile broadband which I have used to play warzone before and it isn't the problem. :/

Well, if it made no difference, then you can't force open the ports yourself.Thunderbird wrote:I did sudo ufw disable and restarted and it made no difference.

The ISP is blocking the port then, so, you need to ask them.
Sorry, not much else we can do when you have no control over the ports.
