Designed vehicles not saved, cannot enter bug

Post by bulrush »

Win 8 running WZ 3.1.1 using compatibility mode "Win XP SP2".This compatibility mode seems to fix some bugs but whenever I create vehicles in a skirmish game, save game, exit game, then load game, all my designed vehicles are gone.

As I research new tech I can design new vehicles in this same game and those appear, but old designed vehicles never appear.
Attached is a WZ log file.

These seem to be saved in "templates.ini" so maybe it's a permissions problem. This is a pretty serious bug because it makes the game nearly unplayable.

Also, I followed the link to the bug tracker after I logged into the forums but got an error. How do I get a bug tracker account? (I know this bug is already listed, but I might offer temporary fixes in the mean time.)

Thanks.

First off, it does NOT need to be run in any compatibility mode, you can run it native in any versions of windows Vista or higher.

For the bug tracker, you need to login (upper right login link on the bug tracker page) and use your forum credentials.
