About detail, don't be afraid to add as much as your computer can handle, sketchup was never intended to be a lowpoly modeling software anyway... Really, I recommend you to throw the polygon limit out of the window and push your computer to the limits, as long as it gives your model the desired shape.

well, it will deal those Ripple battery, archangel Missile, Thermite Bomb and all other thing that has to do with Missile. it shoots out a laser to kill only 1 missile. it also has very low rate of fire which is same rate of medium cannon ROF speed. this probably the solution for newcomer that always bombarded by the archangel batterys

That may be nice advice for modeling.
