Whoa, these are very nice.

How many polygons are these? Can any artists tell me if these are too detailed for the current Warzone engine?

They don't look that high polly, but they don't look the right size. Pie files' points only go to one decimal place so they may not look quite so nice when scaled down to the right size. Aside from that, they look great!

Cobra is looking like a gray Retaliation, I think

I've done some body modelling a long time ago, though I wasn't very succesful because the same problems my structure models weren't succesful: Couldn't get them ingame :P

But I think your models will be just fine with some work, keep improving your skills!
And good luck!
:)

If your referring to that annoying teamcolor/animation error I know how to fix it
must be made in blender
select all faces in edit mode go to object mode make sure the object is still selected
export
go to the file make copy of the pie file, now open with note pad
copy the line that starts with Texture 0 blah blah blah texpage "copy that line"!!!
now open that file with pieslicer & go to the texturing panel click the box "Teamcolors" so it is checked
And set "frames" [1]
save
open the file in note pad again & paste over "No Textures"
save
now make a copy of that
import in Blender it should be fixed now

..if you weren't referring to that... oh well :P

hahahaha, it wasn't that! :D

It's because I've got a trauma with editing game files, programming gives on my nerves, and I've never learned to work with pie slicer or extracting game files.

I'm an artist, I may be good on what I make, but I don't have any team to work with (my co-workers aren't interested in WZ). I'm able to make texturized .3ds models, but that doesn't go into the game by itself, and I'm not willing to learn some procedure that's going to be restricted to modding wz.

Oh, that's for sure!
Also, free time doesn't hurt anybody, does it? xD
Hmm, I'm participating actively of thelion's "New Turret" model, did you see it? Maybe we are going to make some great things, if we are able to gather a good team. Invitations are for everyone, including MaNGusT!
:D
Regards, Olrox

EDIT: Here's the link to the specific post I've made about that project.

.

I like these models - geometry AND textures. :)

I know we are dealing with a fun game here and RL simulating is not the pre-eminent aspect or essential to that game formula for success... Nonetheless, while we can focus on the heroic aspects of grand battles or contained firefights..... War is very, very, very ugly.... and if there is some way through artistry to convey even but a subtle, suggestive sense of that, even in a fun game, it is a worthy accomplishment, IMHO. And one viable way to achieve that is through artful texturizing. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. ;)

Looks speedy ;)
Hmm, I think that the textures could look more rough.
In fact, the whole game could look more rough, (a detailed rough, not the... raw rough we've currently got) :D
ahh, nevermind! :stare:
Actually, I really think that I'm only able to express exactly what I feel speaking portuguese or by making the art itself, lol
But I always try :P
