That looks very nice. Can you make the yellow brighter (so it doesn't blend in to the background so much - look at Pumpkin's colors for inspiration, although maybe not nearly that bright), and replace Pumpkin's existing jeeps with it?

Or are you already replacing the existing jeeps? (It's hard to tell.)

You know, as far as scavenger models go, I think the scavs themselves could be more detailed. They always just looked like red blobs to me. :|

Hmm... as bright and yellow as first sketch in whippersnappers thread? viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2996&start=90#p32549
Yes, this mod is replacing the Pumpkin's jeeps. As for the driver - i've already created another non-sprite version for the trunk, but i need to skin it with some good texture... it is always the hard part.

The lines look foggy, and with most mods, I just think it looks out of place, just a tad cartoonish... You could do wonders by thinning them out.

But that said, I'm more die-hard than hardcore about WZ.

Meh, no. If anything, the lineart needs to be thickened, to match our other textures... Warzone has always been a tad cartoonish. I'd argue that this new jeep is already far too realistic compared to the rest of Warzone.

im usually the one that's all for more polies and high res that is in vein of the original.
But i actually like these i just think they need color tweaking and they be perfect.

myself i beg to differ
thw fact they blend in is great you dont see em too easily untill you run into them giving the scavs a small advantage (that being how they'd operate anyway) its probably the best scav jeep ive ever seen so well done i say

yours

The problem is also that, you're only replacing some of the scavenger art, so it needs to blend in with the rest.

If you were replacing all of it... well, you'd still need to blend in with the rest of Warzone, but you'd have more freedom to be creative over how the scavs should look.

For me the only difference with the old jeep (its hard to say what it is if not the in-game name :P) model is that my version is not following original 'no-more-than-20-vertexes-and-10-polys+16x16-texture' way of modeling.

Here is how the brighter and thinner version (half-way to the original sketch) will look like:

(Look in the first post for reworked version of the mod).

Btw, i've took a few screens from film that was main Fallout inspiration:
- a few buggies :
Scavenger buggy
Scavenger buggy
- and post-apoc school bus:

Even there the majority of the cars is in rather good condition. I thinks it's because they will simply not run otherwise :ninja:

Kwel. I like 'em. Makes me wanna play with Baba's more than I already do and spurs me to making them more viable, in ways that make sense, at all T-levels. :)

iNoD I was wondering if you noticed something weird with the stock baba Pick-up truck - basically, the movement is painfully SLOW. Doesn't seem normal to me that it would be that SLOW. Just the standard stats I haven't touched... I was thinking of making adjustments but before I did I wanted to confirm it wasn't some weird local anomaly on my end and since you've been working with baba stuff I thought I'd ask if you've seen it.

Thanks, whip

Yep, i've noticed that too, but since Pick-up's aren't used in-game we need not to worry if you'll change its stats :)
Looking at the constructor part Spade1Mk1 i guess its meant to be the Scav builder (a feared battle fortress escorted by slaves and fully loaded with picks and shovels - just like in RA2 Yuri's Revenge xD)

Hehe... I see. :) Thanks. I also found the "SLOW" reason, I think: (ZNULLPROP).... for propulsion type even using the *Rocket Jeep Body*. Like you said it was at some point considered as a "baba constructor" though I couldn't tell just from the model-object which I originated out of 32EW to look at in-game and after your post quickly checked Pumpkin's Access db v.1.10.

It is a good design. However, the Jeep looks faint and fragile to me somehow. The colours seem washed out, sort of as if it wants to blend into the background (and no self-respecting baba wants to blend into the background!). Be wary of "thin" parts that make it seem like a paper model rather than a combat vehicle improvised to be as solid as possible given the circumstances.
