New Gfx - Beta1 [TO be Used with ARmod]

THE ARmod is using there with my mod



Hi Warzoners !


I'm (really) new in Warzone -- shoud have seen it in 1999...blabla :wink:


So, after playing some hours with the campain, not finished yet O_o , and some multi-AI -- I've go to find some Mods, particulary some to "embellish" this old-game :hmm:


So, since there is not so much graphical mods, i go to ARmod -- which is incredible and push this game into the actual Look And Feel :roll:


After that upload, i start to look at the "moding"part - particulary the gfx/textures/2D ones... (i've no skill in 3D :lol2: ).


After some hours here the first screen shot of my works.

This looks quite promising :)
If you want some critique, I can spot a typical thing, that is, that the ground textures are a bit too large-scale imo. That said, I like your style ;)

New update

Here some pictures of the current work.


@Jorzi : all Arizona Tiles now use HD textures (with Normal map and Specular map -- made in 2D, i'm not -- yet -- using 3D renderer :P

@Jorzi / ARmod : actually i using ARmod as basis of my work - can we plan to merge our works ?

@Team : How to put the add on on the server to download ?

Hi !

Here comes a new update for Arizona and Shared pages.

  • textures : reworked and updated
  • tertiles : reworked and updated
  • Cyborg Factory : updated with HD textures (but style using old schem, so render is still ugly :roll: )

For Shared pages :
  • FXs (page 20, page 9 - bottom part) : updated using HD images

What's coming next :
  • Barbarians (page 7) : rework and update
  • Features (page 29) : rework and update
  • FXs (page 18 to 24 : rework and update
  • Buildings : update Cyborg Factory, add Command Relay (laboratories ?)
  • Player Buildings (page 12 and 13) : rework and update


So, this is mainly the version 0.2.0.

I'm now using GIMP (was using Pixelmator, which is buggy, slow and not Open Source ;-) )

Hope this will make the process of making Warzone 2100 up-to-date with visual standards.

...i'm thinking, right now, that's the forum is dead... is anybody there and still involved in making this game nice ?

  • page-12-player-buildings.png : not yet finish ! Only Numbers (used for FactoriesRally Points) and theirs decals
