I have lots of friends, some of my friends play warzone, but some of my other friends say free downloads is not safe How about a site secured by "some internet site security co"

Also make sure your friends know the difference between free as in "free beer" vs free as in "free speech".

AFAIK, this site runs on a private server owned by one of the devs.
The downloads supplied here are the exact binaries compiled by our devs. These devs run linux, which means there will be no viruses unless they decide to put them in there themselves. So unless you think the devs are secretly trying to infect your computer, these downloads are completely safe.

There's also http://www.mail-archive.com/warzone-dev ... 08565.html and http://www.mail-archive.com/warzone-dev ... 09180.html, not sure if we have their mail for 2.3.9 somewhere. Since they don't host the betas, they don't scan those.

Tell them it's free as in freedom, not just free as in beer, which makes it a lot safer than anything that isn't free as in freedom.
