ease and comfort (gameplay - jugabilidad)

Post by caralbgm »

Hi,

I'm play this great game again. I has some suggestions about ease and comfort (I think the term is "gameplay", in spanish is "jugabilidad").

In general the suggestions is about show tooltips or any form of message with a little more information about the elements.

- When we are builting units, show information about the cost, attack, defenses, ratio, and so on. of the unit that we are selecting.

- When we are researching, show information about increases (values or percentages) of attacks, defenses, ratio, and so on. of the technology that we are selecting.

- If possible place a sensitivity setting of the camera rotation. :D

PD1: If this subjects were treat before, close this topic. I didn't found it.
PD2: Excuse my bad english. :-S

And if possible - could rotating camera with mouse require pressing both mouse buttons instead of just right one? Sometimes (especially on those lovely lags :)) when I want to deselect units I end up rotating camera in some crazy direction.

If you mean sensitivity as in sensitivity in camera rotation, then know (and rejoice!) that the jerky camera movement is caused by a bug which is fixed and commited to svn/trunk.

As far as interface usability goes, I think we will just have to wait until svn/qt is ready, and then try to make further improvements from there.

Totally agree with this, and it's something I suggested to have in an added screen panel at the bottom of the screen. Which I was then told was apparently in the works for v3.0. Is it?

Yes. :)

It'll go with my research queue changes.

I'm keeping it on hold until I see how Betawidget turns out, though.

I too second the original post's suggestions. Regarding camera movement, I'd be perfectly contend with having the Home key reset the camera to the default position.

About the camera movement...I use the reverse buttons feature, so the rigth click has two functions: select targets and destinations, and to rotate the camera too. When I'm moving and selecting fast, sometimes when I select a target also rotate the camera and this is troublesome(for me it is :-S ).

Can't you change the button for camera rotate?
