I agree with a post from another player in this section but sometimes blow the units isn't the best option instead sell the player should have the option to sell them.

Example: I have 50 viper machine gun units but i want to build better units and i don't have the money/power. In this case sell them would be a better option.

You can recycle units see unit commands left click on a unit or a group and see send fore recycle
