Collision Damage
When a vehicle collides with an enemy unit or a building, there should be harm inflicted. The amount of damage depends on this equation:
P x B x U x O = D
P = Propulsion:
Vehicle with half-tracks/Cyborg: Deals 1% base damage of the entire health of the opponent per collision.
Unit with wheels: Inflicts 2% base damage of the total hp of the enemy for every collision.
Vehicle with the hover/naval propulsion: Deals 3% base damage of the entire health of the opponent for each collision.
VTOL/Helicopter unit: Inflicts 4% base damage of the total hp of the enemy per collision.
Other propulsions may be too slow to deal collision damage.
B = Body:
Light: B = 1
Medium: B = 2
Heavy: B = 3
Super: B = 4
U = Unit type:
Collision with a vehicle: U = 1
Collision with a cyborg: U = 2
Collision with a structure: U = 0.8
O = Opponent's body:
Light: O = 4
Medium: O = 3
Heavy: O = 2
Super: O = 1
D = Damage
Minimum collision damage: No harm if the propulsion is slow (for example, tracks)
An exception: A unit with tracks can compress a Scavenger person and the result would be death.
Maximum collision damage: Highest possible

Re: Collision Damage
Let's assume, that drivers are not so stupid to crash in other tanks =)
Anyway, I don't see anything good with it... A lot of work to implement it, then there will be required button "stay spreded" to avoind collissions (and artilery fire), and so...

Re: Collision Damage
In general, I'm against it.
Reasons:
1. let's imagine that all our drivers are not stupid enough to drive carefully.
2. what's the point for gameplay? we haven't a button "spread out" or "form a line", so we have no control of their collisions
3. it will be very annoying for new players (and for some old players too, for some time)

Warzone 2100 would be more realistic if there is a greater amount of physics included.anonim17465 wrote:In general, I'm against it.

Re: Collision Damage
Absolutely No
In case the WZ-game ends in a draw , the game winner will be determined by penalty shoot-out.

Re: Collision Damage
realism mean, that tanks need to be refueled, that they have 1%-10% of brake their tracks\wheels during mission, and will need rescue, It mean that some people may strt to panic and retreat without command, or that because of lack of some metall, like W, you will need to research new ways to bypass it. realism and adequate gameplay lie far away from each other. That will not bring anything good in game, but will waste valuable time of developers.
