Scavenger humans should equip at least 1 material that fortifies their defensive capabilities because they possess minimal protection and very low health; just glance at their bodies:
Before a unit is produced by a factory, at least 5 alternatives can be chosen:
1. Send with the default: No special defenses added.
2. Deploy with Zetix: Enhances explosion resistance, click http://gizmodo.com/5994745/the-bomb+pro ... ture-safer for more information.
3. Dispatch with copper: Strengthens laser protection and deflects the laser back at the opponent that shot it (according to this website: http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=104244).
4. Send with Vectran: Results in resistance against bullets, go to http://science.howstuffworks.com/body-armor1.htm.
5. Dispatch with a lighter version of brick (in order to move): Immunity to fire is gained.
Unfortunately, the infantry of the Scavengers can only wield a gun up to this point in time. In the future, other options should be available.
The outcome of a greater amount of usable weapons and improved defenses allows Scavenger people to compete with cyborgs. Recently, more players would decide to manufacture cyborgs than humans.

Re: Build with Materials
Most of this stuff applies to normal bunker-grade concrete.

Re: Build with Materials
Not really any need for it. More than one resource muddies balance, and things like "immune to fire" renders upgrades needless (there's a research line of Termal armors that make units and structures more resistant to flame), AND renders flamethrowers/Incendiary artillery and bombs worthless vs. their high explosive counterparts because you don't know what the enemy is using without throwing in an extra visual cue (which would make it hard to tell what a given unit actually was), and so forth.

Re: Build with Materials
My post was changed because the people of the Scavengers are perhaps the weakest units in Warzone 2100.RedShocktrooper wrote:Not really any need for it. Re: Armor For Scavenger Infantry and More Weapons
I like such idea and thought about the same thing, but for tanks\cyborgs... (not full immunitete, but some additional defence)
Does the scavengers really need something like this? I mean, they ment to be just a meat-units...
and this thing will require to add another layer in unit design meny (now it has 3), what mean that a lot of things has to be changed...
