Updated forum rules

Due to persistent abuse, we are no longer permitting people to use anonymization services such as Tor with accounts on this forum. If you want to be completely anonymous, you can still read the forum, of course, but if you want to participate, use your real IP address. Thank you.

If you have no idea what I am talking about above, then this does not affect you.

I use my second server MercyChild as a squid server among other purposes. My servers are at my residence, so it provides no anonymization. I use it to filter out sites I hate like facebook and a few troublesome ad networks, and since I let others use my wifi, also to block them from going to illegal sites. Proxy on or off, my IP will remain the same. The difference is whether or not squid identifies itself.

I assume this is ok?

...I ask because I have met unreasonable places before...

The rule regards "anonymization services" only. If it does not anonymize, it does not apply.
