I think, that we will use beta 9 for the tournament. It seems pretty good and playable.

The maps for downloading are now with scripts (by NoQ) for using Spectators. You can test them :lecture:

Well I did Desertec a few times and my best time so far 6:35 from T1 no base. I need to toy around on the next map a bit but that first one is to easy vs AI may have to try a few other AI's this week.

too easy for you - its good )) I'm sure there are many who won't bit AI. I even dont know would I do that.

Oh come on, Nexus AI doesn't even have time to build his first tank with his usual build order on this map. Of course it's natural to beat him with a standard rush in under 6 minutes. To make it better, try adding some base defenses; they won't be removed for an Insane AIs at the start.

The aim of qualify games is to exclude full noobs, which dont know what means "rush", "buil order" or their buil order is "oil-oil-CC-Gen-and so on". I have seen these guys =) All other players are welcome!

How true at 6 mins they still don't have the HQ up or making anything but trucks, and even 4 to 6 tanks can trash a NEXUS AI base and then just hunt down the rest of the trucks or wait for them to come back to base and try to rebuild.

One thing I never figured out is why not have an AI that builds Cyborg or Tank Factory's outside the base or near an oil well if there base is over run instead of going back to base.

What sort of fun is that to waste time hunting down the trucks? I think the AI should rather give up and self-destruct when he knows he's dead.

I have changed two rules:

1) If player has 450 ping or higher he is out of the game.

2) For the low-Oil qualifying games are used tournament setting. The enemy - AI-Nexus at the highest level of complexity. Time limit qualifying games for low-Oil - 20 minutes. The task - to win.
