Now that multiple turrets are supported on SVN...

Post by Ursa »

Are the large bodies in the game going to support them? I.E. will I be able to have a Tracks Python Large Cannon Machinegun?

I've been gone quite a while, so tell me...
WHOAH, WZ uses SVN now? That's what the two main mods for HL2 I've been messing around with update with...quite the greatest system I've ever used...

I'm honestly unaware of the advantages of SVN over CVS but my original question remains.

Will a Heavy Cannon Machinegun Python Tracks happen?

I'd just like to add that y'all have done amazing work on this game.

any combination is possible...though some combos are really ugly because of the huge weapons/small body.

The tank in my avatar is a tiger with 2 heavy cannons and 1 assault mg.
tasks postponed until the trunk is relatively stable again.

How do you do that though  :o

Do you need to add a configuration flag or is it a script or source hack or can you do it within the design menu?

Erm, we've been using Subversion from day one of this resurrection project really. I must agree with you that Subversion is an awsome system. I personally would like to see repository supported history merging. I.e. if you have made a branch from revision 800 of trunk that when you find & fix a bug which was introduced in 760 that the repository will automatically make sure the fix is found in both the branch as well as the trunk. Currently however you'll need to backport such fixes manually.

You can do it in the design menu. After selecting the first weapon a button for the second weapon will appear, etc.

Was yesterdays snapshot not recent enough? I'm not seeing the multiple weapon buttons.

EDIT: nm, thanks for all your help all of you.

iirc someone changed it to '2 for heavy bodies only' recently(it was 1 for light,2 for medium,3 for heavy)

so you need a heavy body to install 2 weapons.

Also important: the second weapon button will not appear until you've selected a first weapon.

I suppose that would be a balancing thing right? Heavy bodies were only slightly tougher than mediums before so the multiple turrets give heavy bodies a significant advantage over the mediums.

Nope, it's a graphics issue, multiple turrets on smaller bodies simply look awful since turrets start to collide into each other.

Sorry for ma baad English.

Multiple weapons would make a unit waay too power full..Heavy weapons will take two slots soo it can only be put on a heavy and Medium bodies and not on light bodies. but u could put two light weapons on a Medium and heavy bodies.  The player has got an option to put 2 light weapons to attack multiple targets or a heavy weapon to have nore damage
