.

I thought I'd be seeing a sample of a WZ specific CGI along the lines of what Jorzi himself did a little while back for Goth's CAM 4 (DL Jorzi's flamer3.zip HERE) and not some naked Go-Go dancers. (Not that I'm a prude but, IMHO, such content is inappropriate for posting here - but BB Admin will have to judge that ultimately.) :hmm:

These boards are for people of all ages, so keep any content you post here strictly accessible to minors. Ok? Links removed, moved to Off-topic, since the videos do not contain warzone related stuff.

LOL!!!!! are you serious? XD I haven't ever seen more shitty videos than these ones. Looks like a cheap porno game from 90's.. /facepalm
And you had spent 1 year to did this... omg... why? do you have a girlfriend/wife/family? :...:
Dude... I can't believe that you seriously want to make an animated scenes for wz2100 with such graphic quality. You should compare warzone's video sequences with your ... "episodes" then when it will be done - stay away from AR team...pls.. ty..

@Mangust: The quality is indeed lacking at best and I guess I agree a bit with the "cheap porno game" comment, but let's not be overly rude, okay? It's not like he was talking about getting into AR, he just wants to make some warzone stuff for a change. I'm just offering my game models since they will be free (public domain) anyway... He can play around with them and, who knows, maybe he will surprise us all and actually make something decent...

Indeed.

To journey from utter rankness to high mastery, in any skill, takes 10,000 hours of dedicated practice. Perhaps working on WZ's CGIs will be part of Manaze1's journey as such.

Can you do something with some WZ units for a example ?
You know, this still has people in it, and since we aren't making a Baba Goes Wild vids, that is too hot for TV, not sure how this fits in anyplace. :hmm:

However, if you do decide to go the Baba Goes Wild route, will Dr. Reed be the one asking stupid questions ? :stare: :lol2:
and it ends here.

From the get go I have agreed and originally pointed to using AR assets:

Looks like AR assets could be used via the 3DXChange4 pipeline into iclone for animation:

And was taken aback by the last link posted (naked Go-go dancers) but expressed it like so - again pointing to using AR assets as well as precisely providing an example of WZ CGI created by Jorzi using said assets:

So to rephrase my last post - Manaze 1 should practice making WZ CGI using AR assets (which is what I thought he was doing before he posted that last link of the totally inappropriate animation - soft-porn plus NOT mechanical, as in it should have been tanks instead of peeps.) I have chosen this tack & focus in posting over making the whole thing an opportunity to display my facility for barbed humor. Such witticisms I enjoy as much as the next fella (or gal) as long as it is not like shooting fish in a barrel. :hmm:

does this project stopped?, i only watched a minute of the video on youtube and quality look worst than the sims (first game) from EA. and if he still going to make it (i hope he did :) ) i'd recommend to make new video from our current sequence, incomint for example which really simple to be remade.

[offtopic]
i recently watched my friend played Resident Evil Remake on pc and quality look really good specially cutscenes (wiki said it use UE2 and Bink),you might be interested to see difference in both game and try to implement it here.
[/offtopic]

a note to be remembered : seems our player use a lot of cpu than it should. and max video resolution is 1024 x 1024. :D

I'd still recommend doing the videos in 1080p lossless (or better) and rescaling afterwards...

Been away for a couple weeks, ergo the tad tardy response. My apology. :3 (Though this is the new norm for me, with even longer gaps going forward I sense.)

While it may appear an explicit deviation from the subject, I hold this "deviation" speaks directly to the bedrock of any constructive act that would contribute enduring value hereabouts - be it a post or a remade campaign CGI or whatever. :ninja:

Astute of you to discern the motivational connection, neo_dragon2k. :)

Yes... but since "Bushido" has meant quite contrary values (& ambivalent conduct) over the centuries let me be very clear that the tradition I follow is characerized by the 7 virtues deeply rooted in Taoist & Zen Buddist practice.

Yet that only partly explains my statement quoted.

The "10,000 hours" part is a direct reference to work done in the cognitve sciences over the last several decades.

One of the pioneer scientific researchers being Anders Ericsson (career begun earnestly in the mid 1970s, then continuing for some 30+ years of work) and the bible-size "Cambridge Handbook of Expertise and Expert Performance" (Jun 26, 2006) aggregates his seminal efforts (among other scientists) in this field of brain studies, if you are interested in a good place to start exploring. :hmm:

^_^ wow youve done your homework. Ive found that typically when someone says bushido they are refering either to the works of hagakure or the budoshoshinsu; but truthfully they do take their core philosophies from the Zen mindset so there are certain similarities in many of the Asian works. In recent years western scientists and psychologists have begun to successfully adopt some of these principles into their works.

In short its good to see someone who has characteristics of this mindset. There aren't many. ^_^/

Indeed. :3

Especially 'Vipassana bhavana' (insight meditation) or Mindfulness practice. :hmm:

I think the ranks growing like never before (in the Western World) because, like you said, western science, medicine & mainstream therapies have demonstrated, & specifically advocate, the powerful benefits of 'Vipassana bhavana' practice. Alas, the West is still dominated by the ubiquitous quick-fix mentality, & masquerade, in the form of pill-popping, no work involved, "solutions". :(

BTW, and pointing to a direct link with WZ future dev, some of this new brain science has direct application to game design - like Cognitive Task Analysis (CTA) to RTS GUI/AI. :geek:

And last, but not least - manaze1 are you still in the mix here ?
