What I notice about the 1st 6 mission - no complaints just observations

Post by alant2b »

I find the levels are much easier to beat than the original warzone, my biggest problem is the army build up seems tremendously slower, i.e., if I recycle all vipor wheels and build all half tracks, I am left with barely enough troops to win, but since the defense of enemy is so much lower the minimum troops don't make an issue.

Maybe I just suck and cannot keep up with the builds and technology researching.

That's weird, I don't think much has changed that could make the game easier. Some weapons have been tweaked to balance the game but nothing too serious. Perhaps you have just gotten better at beating it. :)

when i had first tanks roll out with heavier armor i still had a sh*t load of double machine wheels/half tracks.

once u get away missions u get more power having full map with upgraded power plants  ;D. before that have to manage to little force u have real well.

did you ever think that you may be better at strategy now then a few years ago?

also, did you consider that you may have blanked out the annoying long waits for early units?

though, at that, how difficult would it be to add a "very hard" to the campaign mode?

i know defending vs the superior landing parties at normal been hard enough. even doh i had many lancer bunkers and thoose wierd grenade pot/lancers.

warzone bigest diffeculty is that u never knew upfront where the next enemy bunch came from ...
bit confusing where to puth defense ect. if u played it once at normal guess hard is easy 2 :D

remember the general area they come from, then you can use the structure placment to find the lz's.
3x3 areas where you cant set structs. down.
2 east of foward base, 2 north east on the cliff top, ons south(the one you destroyed in prev mission)
then there are 2 where the 2nd and 3rd scav bases where in 1st mission, and a final one on the platou(spelling?) just south of 1st base.

Now I have some complaints:

The away missions which you have to return to LZ after beating always end before I get back to LZ, sometimes I have an hour left on the clock and  I get mission completed screen -

And when is the mission briefing sound and graphics going to be installed?

I'll donate a few dollars if it helps?

thanks

It's a legal issue on that one.  There are other threads detailing the whole story, so I won't go derailing this thread with them.

Missions where you have to return to the LZ can also be completed 75% of the time by killing everything the enemy has.  So if you bring down that last tower with 1 hour left, it's still stage over.  I recommend leaving eney Sensory towers standings for just this purpose, since they won't harm you any.  Just be sure to set your troops to "return fire only" mode.
