Cannot playback ogg-videos

Post by rori » 19 Jun 2009, 21:23

Hello,

I succesfully compiled 2.2.0 on my Ubuntu 9.04 using checkinstall.

I can doubleclick the ogg-videos in Nautilus to see them but during game, they do not work.

Code: Select all

rori@desktop:~/warzone2100-2.2.0/src$ ./warzone2100
error |08:58:57: [seq_Play] unable to open 'sequences/titles.ogg' for playback
error |08:58:57: [seq_Play] unable to open 'sequences/devastation.ogg' for playback
Movies are available in /home/rori/warzone2100-2.2.0/sequences/devastation.ogg

What do I do wrong?

You unpacked the files? Then move the sequences directory into data (or put the sequences.wz there or in ~/.warzone2100-2.2).

Thanks I got confused from the instructions here:

Code: Select all

http://wz2100.net/download
saying
Place this file in ~/.warzone2100-2.2/sequences.wz in Linux.
which should then be changed to
Place this file in ~/.warzone2100-2.2/data/sequences.wz in Linux.
????

Um, no, ~/.warzone2100-2.2/sequences.wz is correct. Did you place the file there? If so, it should have worked correctly.

when you donwload the wz-file then it has to be in the root-folder of warzone
when you're extracting the videos from the wz-archive, then you have to move the videos to the data-folder

so either keep it packed as wz-file in the root, or extract into the data-folder ;)
