Most bodies already have additional connectors added. You can experiment with them by using Zarel's rebalance mod, I believe.

I still would like to see cannon turret model redesigned and a light weapon turret added on top of it.
And what about heavy gunship chopper propulsion that can hold 2 mini-pods on its wings and a light gun on the usual vtol slot? hinds would rule here ^_^
