Campaign world edit

Post by dmkp »

Does anybody have a working copy of the version of edit world for the campaign maps?

I want to be able to compile expansions and missions etc. As well as the main map.

AFAIK, you need to compile it yourself, and even if you did, your not going to get very far... it was never ready for anything but internal use, is extremely buggy, and doesn't really work.

In other words, there is no easy way to make campaigns. Dig into the scripts, and see how it is done.
and it ends here.

Well I've looked into the scripts and also found "gamedesc.lev" which tells the game which files to use. Shouldn't be too difficult to make.

Is it possible to use the "export multiplayer map" to make maps, and use these in campaign mode?

Years ago I used to have the campaign editworld :/ but the website I got it from no longer exists. It was the one that was on the strategyplanet network.

Yeah please do. It's all very nice just mentioning the fact but it would really help if you put a link to that website too. :)

Have a look on http://www.worldforceclan.com/downloads.html, hopefully you'll find what you need.

Does anybody know how to install the campaign edit world? It doesn't work if I plonk it in with wz.

Not sure, but I think you have to be in 16 bit mode instead of 32 or 64, it's an old program after all.

Remember to set up the directories like editworld 32, that could be your problem.
