1.10 vs. 2.0.x

Some days ago I played in official wz 1.10 & I noticed that one weapon in two versions has a different damage. Or I'm wrong ?
But if I'm right > what is the cause could be ??  Did somebody changed somethink in wz economyc ??

No, as far as I know no weapon data was modified.

hmm strange i doubt anything would be different.

can you specify weapon(s) thats got the different power?

Those 2 games were on different tech levels. In T2 and T3 machine gun is fully upgraded, or you upgraded it manually while during the other game it was unupgraded.

machinegun > flamegun yes, but the rest is well ... doubtfull. ;)

Have a look at http://wz2100.net/wiki/user:weapon_warhead_bonuses wiki pages.

Actually machinegun > flamegun can be wrong too. Flamers have effectiveness of 300 against bunkers, while machineguns (Anti Personnel warhead) only 100.

As for cannons, try medium cannons or heavy cannons, they usually own machineguns.
And light cannons, they suck indeed, I don't know what they are good for (anyone?), I think they suck against anything. Personally I never use them.

I dont know. I think its not so important theme at this time. Later when engine will be fine we can take this on task.

I also wanted to ask : WRP is modefing wz from 1.10 official source code without any mods or somethink like that. Right ?

If you mean that we don't include mods like the 1.12 patch, then you are correct.

There were big efforts taken by the community to fulminate against Grim's new textures and they succeed to make him stop working on it, so I don't think there will be other people trying to include any mods or therelike into Warzone.
Current codex is to not modify the original look&feel, so we don't clash with the community. (Wasn't my idea and like Cpt. Barbossa said: The codex are merely guidlelines...)

yep light cannons suck hard,1/2 or 1/3 damage and only 1? more round per minute compare to medium and heavy cannon...
how does the armor system work?seems to me they are kind of threshold against kinetic(all projectile weapons?) and thermal(flame only?) when I was reading the source,dont know if they are damage reduction every hit or they are just additional HPs against certain type of weapon.

I don't have access to the source right now, I think calcDamage()might be what you are looking for. "weaponEffect" is warhead bonus value, listed on those wiki pages.

I'll look for it.I think it was:

if(damage < Droid->armor)
{
damage = 1;
Droid->armor -= damage;
}
else if(damage > Droid->armor)
{
damage = damage - Droid->armor;
Droid->armor = 0;
}

if(damage == 0)
{
damage = 1;
}

return damage;

but I couldnt remember where I saw that though.

I think  I know what is it. May be its cause by game speed ? if 1.10 have only two "gears" :) 1.3 & 1.5 , and 2.0.x have ... many but if to take a first two (1.3,1.5) so they are different too as a that weapons damage. If its right so that explaine heavy machingun power > where the game faster there is damage stronger too. ??? its my view point.
