My Game screen goes blank (Tan colour) when the Mission Briefings come in, I can get by it if i just press Escape and then im straight back into the game.
But i am curious to know if anyone else has the same problem.
From the FAQ
I have the retail version of Warzone, can I play the cut-scenes/Full Motion Videos from the CDs?

No.

Neither the videos themselves nor the source code for the RPL player were released with Warzone under the GPL. So we can neither distribute the videos nor play the files from the CD.
We all have the same heaven, but not the same horizon.

yeah, the whole tan-background thing is normal, though you should see text on the screen (briefings are currently in the form of text instead of movies, but we're working on that).

2.0.6 will make it a little bit more obvious that the videos are intended to be missing.
- The cutscene texts proceed a lot faster, so you don't think Warzone hangs
- The background is allways black
- You can left click to skip the texts

Ah, Thats great, Thanks Kage.
Yes, I do get the text on screen ok so i guess everything is running smoothly then.
Nice one!
Now i think i will crack on and enjoy the game, But i am also wondering if there are any major differences in this version as opposed to the PSone version, So far (Level 1) its identical, although with much better graphics and sound, But i'm wondering if anyone out there has played on both platforms and if there are any differences, like maybe the ability to create more units?

You have been very helpful, I will continue to check on here from time to time to se whats new becaus ei firmly believe that this game simply must live on...Forerer!

Bye for now.

What to do if it don't crash, but freeze ?
I used Linux in a Network game as client.
I think it was because the server was gone (network disconnect).
It couldn't get killed, not even with the KILL signal.
I had to kill the whole X.

My System is a Debian stable with gdb installed.
So, maybee there is a way to run it in a debugger and make this dump by hand ?

You could manually connect with GDB.
1. Switch to another terminal (there should be plenty of them, accesible with CTRL+Fx with x being a any number, usually in the range 1-6)
2. Login
3. "ps aux | grep warzone2100", the PID should be the 2nd number in the line
4. "gdb warzone2100 PID >& gdb.log"
5. "bt full" (You won't see any output, since that is redirected to "gdb.log")
6. "quit"
