Hello,
I wondering why WZ2100 team does not utilize https://www.patreon.com/ to get some funds on their creative? This would significantly boost WZ development as well as a release quality. Personally I'am a WZ fanatic and I would provide 10 USD/month without any hesitations. I believe many WZ fans would do the same. Yes, there is PayPal donation page, but it's old and not transparent as Patreon is. For example:

Re: WZ2100 Patreon campaign
Its take too much time even for making that "kickstarter" thing. But even than current devs I think works just for pleasure for themselves in their free time. Money won't change anything (not a money question, only donations for a server support a wellcome).
However developing a game can be done by freelancers, if you organize and manager your own team, you may start funding no asking a permissions or something, cause game is free and opensource.
If you want it, do it yourself.

Our current PayPal and Adsense income roughly covers our running costs (thanks a lot everyone who has been contributing so far!). If we were to receive significantly more money, we wouldn't really know what to do with it right now.

Are guys (devs) not interested to transform current project to the one which generates income and you can live on it? You have knowledge, you have experience with WZ2100 source code. Wondering, what stopping you to transform this hobby like activity to a full stack development with some kind of salary.
