BETA.5 - Feedback
Hi friends,
at first THX for the new beta, looks really good.
So far I can say, it seems, the "stutter"-problem is gone, tested one map only, but played about 7 hours,
save-game attached, if you wanna give it a look, I know you developers have not that time to play so long
Small bugs and things about the new beta 5:
=================================================
- The Laser-Satelite still does not affect units, but buildings only.
- there is no option to disable Laser-Satelite in Buildings-Limit menu, PLEASE implement it!
- Text in "building-limit" and in "Key-Bindings" menu is not affected by language change, still using system language
- please include the "Buildings-Limit"-mod in the next release, if possible > viewtopic.php?p=19225#p19225
- Tucks are still "dancing", if they try to repair any building, which is not accessible,
there should be some kind of "time-out" for trucks path-finding, if buildings are not accesible, until the truck receive new orders.
Or they should start to find for new path, after some time delay, 10 seconds, or something, so they stop "dancing".
Anyway, great job guys!, THX

7 hour game!? O_O O_O O_O I am speechless.MetalBeast wrote:Hi friends,

What language? Maybe the .po file didn't get updated?- there is no option to disable Laser-Satelite in Buildings-Limit menu, PLEASE implement it!

Hmm...- please include the "Buildings-Limit"-mod in the next release, if possible > viewtopic.php?p=19225#p19225
By dancing, do you mean they start to circle, or are they trying to get to it at all costs, and never give up?- Tucks are still "dancing", if they try to repair any building, which is not accessible,

Which map? How many AI/human players?MetalBeast wrote:Ok, playing another map got this error and CTD:

What were you doing at the time of the crash?

My system-language is german, but I do not like the german translation, so I changed to english,Buginator wrote: - Text in "building-limit" and in "Key-Bindings" menu is not affected by language change, still using system language
What language? Maybe the .po file didn't get updated?
but in these two menus, the language-text is still german.
I mean both, spinning arround and swinging from left to right and trying go through the wallBuginator wrote: - Tucks are still "dancing", if they try to repair any building, which is not accessible,

What were you doing at the time of the crash?
- 2 players, 1 AI one human
- doing nothing, just wainting for research.

EDIT: found new bug:
- Structure limits do not work for AI.
The repair-facilities are default limited to 5,
seems not for AI, see attached screen.
Already have seen this bug for other structures, e.g. hardened sensor-tower.

HA! Just kidding. All my stuff is either in the repo, or one of the trackers.

ROFL, the second one is a nice screenshot.
I also have one for you:
A picture says more, than 1000 words
[It is AI-player base]

Can you at least tell me which files to modify and where they are?Buginator wrote: What, you want me to post links? Too much trouble.

Actually, no, it is pretty weak.Delphinio wrote:lol, a "bit" strong the laser sat.
That was T1. In T3, the LASSAT is pathetic.
If you do a svn up, then you will get the patch. It is in both trunk, and 2.1 branch.Raem_Lylar wrote:Can you at least tell me which files to modify and where they are?Buginator wrote: What, you want me to post links? Too much trouble.
Or do you mean, you don't understand how to view each patch that was submitted in the repo?
