Renderer: VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP/MMX/SSE (64 MB); newest driver (6.14.10.342, 2006.11.10.) OpenGL Version: 1.2 (and 66% of 1.3 and 53% of 1.4 according to OpenGL Extensions Viewer).
The stable 2.0.10 doesn't have this problem and runs nicely on my machine.
Help / any ideas?
Looks like it is a driver issue with the VIA/S3 gfx chipset. Can you try different gfx drivers, and see if it works?

There are lots of bugs/glitches, but who is counting?
The LaSAT stuff can be tweaked. I dunno if anyone bothered to modify them from the original values though.
The spinning constructor is a known issue, and well, one of these days, that bug will get squashed.
I doubt any dev has that kind of time to play the game for 2-3 hours, and check for themselves.
So, yes, upload the savegame, and all the files in the savegame directory.
