if you build a HQ and then deconstruct it you still can design things http://developer.wz2100.net/ticket/3342

Is that because you like the starting tech (pre-researched stuff), prebuilt bases, or both? Might you at least agree that pre-researched turrets, etc, shouldn't be given with their prereq's?

@Zany - that's defined in rules.js, the line to disable designer on HQ destruction has been commented out.

@Effigy - a mixture of things - the setting has quite profound effects: https://warzone.atlassian.net/wiki/disp ... i/baseType

For example, on maps like Great Rift I sometimes give the closest enemy AI players medium bases and the furthest full base. That way the AI's don't manage to kill each other before I turtle my way through their real estate.

How do you set a different base setting for individual AI players? Set the game to the middle bases option, and set a few to Insane difficulty?

Didn't you have any problems with artillery attached to sensor units? I played a skirmish against 3 NullBot AIs. My artillery fired at the target given by the sensor they were attached to, approached the target, fired, and so on until they came in the range of the enemy defense. Ticket #3343

Sorry, I mean in conjunction with AI difficulty. So the INSANE AI is affected differently by base type setting - it keeps more buildings as shown on the URL I posted earlier.

dibs on beta 8!
:annoyed: they don't want to fix it!
This is getting out of hand. I regret caving in to the purists on this one. We're adding a ton of ugly exceptions to the code so that a few individuals should not have to learn anything new.

zany - what the heck is wrong with you?

Stop the fricking' complaining all the time. It is getting really annoying. Don't make duplicate posts. And it is clear from the above that you don't even understand the discussion. And I'm not a "they".

zany is just being 'zany' & living up to the meaning of his nick. :lol2:

zany n. pl. za·nies 1. A ludicrous, buffoonish character in old comedies who attempts feebly to mimic the tricks of the clown.

2. A comical person given to extravagant or outlandish behavior.
